There's no better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day than by checking out the 7th Annual Bridgewater Bank Luck o' the Lake 5K Fun Run and 1-Mile Run. Hosted by the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by local businesses and the support of the community, this well-attended yearly run benefits Excelsior year-round.

The first of the 2019 Lake Minnetonka Running Series, the exciting run begins on the gorgeous streets of downtown Excelsior, travels through the streets of Greenwood, and allows runners and walkers to enjoy a scenic route along the shores of stunning Lake Minnetonka. After the race, celebrate at a St. Paddy's Day party in Excelsior that offers tons of fun for the whole family.

St. Paddy's Day in Excelsior

Date: Saturday, March 16, 2019.

Time: The 1-mile starts at 9 a.m. and the 5K starts at 9:30 a.m.

Location: The start line for the 5K is on Water Street between 2nd and 3rd streets. The 1-mile run starts and ends at the finish line at 37 Water St. in front of the Chamber Welcome Center.

Registration: Online registration ends Wednesday, March 13th at 11:59 p.m. In-person registration is available on Friday, March 15 from 4–7 p.m. in the heated tent on Water Street and Saturday, March 16 from 7:30-9 a.m. at Excelsior Brewing Company.

Registration for the 5K includes:

• Long-sleeved Sportek tech t-shirt  
• Collector's pint glass from Excelsior Brewing Co. (first 1000 registered)
• Drink ticket

Registration for the 1-mile run includes a commemorative medal sponsored by Camp Smile.

All ages are welcome to participate and celebrate. Or volunteer for the race or Tent Party—support the community and be right in the middle of all the action.

Heated St. Paddy's Day Tent Party

After the run, join the authentic Irish St. Paddy's Day Tent party! A free event for all in a heated tent on Water Street and 2nd Street. Whether you're running, walking, or cheering people on from the sidelines, make sure to wear your best, brightest (and greenest!) St. Paddy's Day gear. You won't want to miss this all-day party, which includes:

• Bean's Greenwood Marina photo booth
• Kid's Activities by Primrose School of Minnetonka
• Beer and Wine garden open 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
• Irish lunch provided by the Excelsior Masonic Lodge No. 113
• Free live music

Or stop by authentic local Irish gastropub Jake O'Connor's Public House for a pint of Guinness and their world famous fish 'n chips.
