One of our most popular summertime events, the 39th annual Art on the Lake is always a big hit among both local residents and visitors. It draws in art enthusiasts from across the entire Minneapolis/St. Paul area and features unique art, food, and musical entertainment. Artists and Vendors

This year's event will feature over 140 artists working in 13 different mediums. Whether you're a fan of contemporary art or traditional crafts, there will be plenty of high-quality options for you to choose from. You'll also find local food vendors serving their most artistic creations, a beer and wine tent, and musical artists entertaining you with bluegrass, folk, and acoustic rock. 

This engaging event will give you a chance to get up-close-and-personal with some of the area's hottest emerging and seasoned artists and interact in a way that you can't do at most other events. 

While You're There

The event is located right next to Main Street, so plan to take a look around while you're there. You'll love the diverse dining options, art galleries, and independent local shops. Since you'll be right on the beach, you can also spend part of your day biking, boating, or swimming. There are also tennis courts, playgrounds, and baseball fields nearby, making this the perfect location for a full day of family-friendly fun. 

Event Details

Art on the Lake is scheduled June 8th and 9th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday. It's held at the historic 13-acre Excelsior Commons park located at 339 Third St.
